Property Tax Cut 2026
The Homestead Exemption bill of 2026 (S.768) expands South Carolina’s homestead exemption, increasing the amount of a home’s value that is exempt from property taxes for homeowners age 65 and older. This legislation provides meaningful tax relief for seniors, helping them stay in their homes while keeping more of their hard-earned income.
